Director for Adult Social Care
Hours: Full time
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £121,776 - £134,160
Location: Dudley, West Midlands – on site
About the role

As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will drive strategic and operational change, working closely with Directors and Group Directors to shape modern, person-centred adult social care services that put people first and deliver meaningful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Statutory Director of Adult Social Services (DASS) and Caldicott Guardian, championing the highest standards in care and data governance.

Leading adult social care operations, safeguarding, professional practice, and integrated commissioning with the NHS and partners.

Driving transformation that prioritises independence, prevention, and early intervention.

Embedding a strong culture of practice, focused on quality, outcomes, and continuous improvement.

Working collaboratively across the Council, and closely with Children & Young People, Public Health teams and partners to promote independence, strengthen transitioning to adulthood, reduce health inequalities and improve population health.
